Chinese hand painted silk wallpaper with Chinoiserie floral pattern




In the 18th Century, were chinoiserie wallpaper popular among wealthy Europeans. These Chinese silk wallpaper designs inspired by traditional paintings of birds, flowers and bamboo. In addition to floral, there were many scenes of everyday life, presented in a landscape of mountains, trees and water. This wallpaper hand-painted were made by Chinese artisans.

Today Fromental takes a modern approach to the collection of Chinoiserie using monochromatic and dynamic colors and contemporary compositions of the 20th Century. This collection and all their designs are completely custom designed, meticulously hand-painted using similar methods that were originally in the 18th century were used.
